HUMAN RIGHTS POLICY

Respect for human rights is a fundamental value at Dovas Law, P.C. We base our approach to human rights on international standards and agreements including the United Nations’ Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the United Nations’ Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. We are committed to being environmentally and socially conscious. It is our belief that individuals, companies, and governments have an obligation to respect human rights, and we are committed to supporting, respecting, and protecting human rights in our relationships with our employees, suppliers, and business partners.

We recognize that we have an obligation to be in accordance with international regulations as well as local laws. It is our policy to comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations regarding labor practice. In addition to our own employees, we expect those with whom we do business to operate in accordance with this Human Rights Policy Statement.

Dovas Law, P.C. strives to:

  • Maintain workplaces free from harassment or discrimination toward employees, applicants for employment, clients, and others who conduct business with or connect with Dovas Law, P.C.
  • Provide equal employment opportunities to all applicants for employment and all employees.
  • Provide reasonable accommodations to any qualified employee or applicant with a disability, to any pregnant employee or applicant, or to any employee or applicant for their sincerely held religious beliefs or practices to enable the employee or applicant to perform typical functions of their employment.
  • Assess situational changes including, but not limited to, political instability and environmental change, which may have a negative impact the human rights of our employees and the wider community.

We respect the rights of our employees to freely associate with anyone they choose. We abide with local minimum age laws and requirements (or those prescribed by international standards if more stringent), and we compensate our employees in amounts equal or greater to the legally required minimums. We limit working hours and provide a safe and health-promoting workplace for our employees according to local labor protection laws. We do not engage in or knowingly work with those that engage in human trafficking.

We encourage our employees and others to report any violations of our Human Rights Policy to info@dovaslaw.com, which communications may be made anonymously.
